How We Assist Professional and Amateur Athletes

Our firm will assist professional and amateur athletes with various regulatory issues, including the following:

  • Advising professional and amateur athletes on compliance with policies, by-laws, and standards relevant to their sport and/or league, as well as with the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (“CCES”);
  • Responding to various inquiries, investigations, and regulatory proceedings;
  • Assisting professional and amateur athletes with dispute resolution before their applicable sporting bodies and organizations, including before the Sports Dispute Resolution Centre of Canada (“SDRCC”);
  • Assisting professional and amateur athletes with internal appeals before their relevant sporting organizations, and with appeals before the SDRCC; and
  • Advising professional and amateur athletes on various issues before their relevant organizations, such as performance standards and doping.
